Shopping in Orlando
Orlando, Florida is a city that vacationers flock to for bargains. Not only does it have several outlet malls to choose from, it also has a variety of boutiques and retailers in its downtown, amusement park, and university areas. If you’ve never experienced Orlando for the shopping wonderland that it is, you’re truly missing out.
There are some really great bargains to be had at the Premium Outlet and Prime Outlet Malls. They’re located a short distance from Downtown Disney which is a great place to pick up souvenirs featuring your favorite characters. In addition to familiar names like Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, and Calvin Klein, there are also designer outlet stores like Betsey Johnson, Kenneth Cole, Perry Ellis, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
The nearby Florida Mall and the Mall at Millennia have their own share of stores to shop in. You can easily make a day out of it by stopping to have lunch at a restaurant before venturing into other parts of the mall. Pricier than the outlets, you will find some really good sales during holidays and when there’s a change in the seasons.
CityWalk located in Universal Studios offers unique gift items. You’ll see a sea of red Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts after your visit. Many of the people that visit the theme park purchase apparel to wear. You’re sure to see a wizard hat or two as well. Everyone wants to take something home with them that remind them of their vacation to Orlando.
If you’re close to the University of Central Florida, you’ll want to check out the Waterford Lakes Town Center. There are familiar retailers like Dress Barn, Bath and Body Works, Target, and Barnes and Noble. You can also catch a movie and have dinner at one of the many restaurants located in this area of the city.
