Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of four major parks that is part of Orlando’s Disney World. It is the third park to open and provides visitors with a glimpse into the glamour of Hollywood, Disney style.
Hollywood Studios, originally named MGM Studios because of the park’s contract with the movie maker, opened its doors in 1989. The park’s main focus was to provide visitors a glimpse into the movies, including the behind-the-scenes aspect.
Many of the rides in Hollywood Studios focus on the movies. Star Tours takes visitors on a ride through the Star Wars series. Each time you ride has a different ending. The Hollywood Tower of Terror and Aerosmith’s Rockin’ Rollercoaster provide the thrill seekers with rides to enjoy. For those who prefer shows, the park also offers the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, Lights, Motors, Action, and MuppetVision 3-D.
Hollywood Studios provides visitors with unique dining experiences. The Sci-Fi Dine-In theater allows you to eat in convertibles while watching old sci-fi movie clips. The 50’s Prime Time Cafe takes you back into the 50’s for a homemade meal.
- To beat the crowds, head for the back of the park first and work your way forward.
- Get a FastPass for Toy Story Mania first because this ride gets crowded.
- If you want to see Fantasmic!, show up at least an hour before show time. Seats are limited.
- Make a list of the attractions you want to see so you don’t miss anything.
