Busch Gardens Tampa
A trip to the Tampa Bay area is hardly complete without a visit to Busch Gardens. Open every day of the year, including holidays, Busch Gardens offers rides, live entertainment shows and animal attractions designed to captivate the members of your group no matter what their age or interests are.
When you arrive at the park, take advantage of the almost 5,000 available parking spots, but be prepared to pay for parking unless you’ve purchased a package deal that includes it. Other options include shuttles that are available to and from the park for a fee.
The park, which opened in 1959, has an African theme that incorporates the names of animals and areas of the Dark Continent into the rides and attractions. Ride roller coasters like the Cheetah Hunt, the Gwazi and the SheiKra, survey the park from the air on an overhead cable car ride on the Skyview, make a splash on the Stanley Falls log ride or take a leisurely trip on the Serengeti railway.
When you have little ones along, they’ll be sure to enjoy exploring King Tut’s Tomb, Treetop Trails and the Sesame Street Safari of Fun. Afterward, explore the six souvenir shops located on the Busch Gardens grounds for memorabilia to take home with you and to remember your trip by.
When you’ve worked up an appetite, there is no shortage of place to grab a bite to eat. Purchase the Busch Gardens All Day Dining Deal and eat to your heart’s content without paying additional money per meal. Stop in the Orang Cafe, Zagora Cafe or Golden Gate Cafe for a leisurely meal or thrill the kiddies by eating with Elmo and Friends. Top off your meal with dessert from SheiKra Sweet Treats or Sultan’s Sweets.
Arrive at the park early and plan to stay late to see and do all that you desire.
