Shamu Express is a kiddie roller coaster located at the SeaWorld amusement park in Orlando, Florida. The coaster, designed to appeal to children just developing an interest in amusement park rides, was built by German manufacturer Zierer. As the name implies, the ride is themed after Shamu, the killer whale who has long been the star of SeaWorld’s shows.Young coaster riders will find this roller coaster both thrilling and entertaining. Though designed for younger children, grown-ups will enjoy this slow-paced ride as well. The minimum height requirement for the ride is 38 inches but children shorter than 41 inches must be accompanied by someone at least 14 years old.

Other requirements for the ride are the same as other coasters at SeaWorld Orlando. Shirts and shoes are required for the Shamu Express and no loose articles are allowed on the ride. Lockers are available for those riders who do not have a non-rider with them to hold their items.

Shamu Express is accessible to riders in wheelchairs. Those in wheelchairs should enter through the exit gate and may have one person with them. From there they will be transferred by staff into a car to enjoy this wonderful coaster.
