SeaWorld Orlando opened in 1973, as the third zoological marine park established by a group of 1960s UCLA graduates. The first SeaWorld began in 1964 in San Diego, California. Shortly after Disney World opened in 1971, SeaWorld founders realized they would be able to provide a year-round attraction in Florida’s warm climate.

SeaWorld Orlando’s hours of operation are from 9 a.m., with extended hours during the summer and holidays. Parking fees are $14.00 for cars and motorcycles, and $15.00 for recreational vehicles. Preferred parking is available for $20.00. SeaWorld’s single-day admission is $81.99 for guests ten years and older, $73.99 for children ages 3-9 and children under the age of two are free.
