Disney World’s Enchanted Forrest
Located inside Fantasyland, Disney World’s Enchanted Forest is a place where young and old Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid fans can meet their favorite princess and hang out with their favorite mermaid, grab a bite to eat and relive two of their favorite stories.
The Enchanted Forest centers around the Beast’s Castle, which overlooks the forest and features favorite characters from Beauty and the Beast. Visitors can enjoy a story told by Belle and Lumière right inside Belle’s Cottage or shop at Bonjour! Village Gifts. Afterwards, they can enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the Be Our Guest Restaurant’s three dining rooms. Kids and grown-ups alike will enjoy the menu as it is the first Disney restaurant to serve alcohol. Of course, if one prefers Gaston to Belle, they can eat at Gaston’s Tavern instead and maybe even catch a glimpse of the tavern’s self-absorbed namesake.
For those who prefer mermaids to beasts, the Enchanted Forest is also home to Ariel’s beau, Prince Eric, and his castle. Guests will relive one of their favorite tales when they board a clamshell and ride through the castle’s grotto to a musical version of The Little Mermaid, which ends at Eric and Ariel’s wedding. Fans will also be able to take pictures and get autographs from their favorite characters.
The Enchanted Forest opened in December, 2012 as part of Disney World’s Fantasyland expansion, the largest expansion in the theme park’s history.
