Wide World of Sports at Disney World
The Wide World of Sports at Disney World is every sports lover’s dream. It is a facility that houses all types of sporting events throughout the year. In addition, it has some of the best dining and sports watching facilities in the Disney World complex.
The facility opened in 1997 with a Major League Baseball game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves. It is located on a 220 acre site just northwest of World Drive and Highway 4 in Kissimmee, Florida within the Disney World property.
Wide World of Sports at Disney World is a sports complex that features playing fields of all kinds including baseball, softball, soccer, football, tennis, track and field and many more. Professional and amateur events are held on the fields and throughout the complex throughout the year.
A variety of dining and snack options are available around the site. ESPN Wide World of Sport Grill is a quick service restaurant featuring hamburgers, sandwiches, salads and more. Concession stands are located throughout the area and offer sandwiches, side items, and snacks. Also, guests can make reservations at any restaurant located throughout the Disney world hotels, theme parks, and downtown Disney.
Prices for admission are very reasonable for the features that are offered at this venue. Currently, adult tickets are $14.50 and children are $10.00 for the sporting events at the site. Full length-of-event tickets are available as well for events that occur over multiple days.
Parking at ESPN Wide World of Sports is located adjacent to the sports fields. General Parking is free. Valet parking is available for a fee. If lots are at capacity, guests are redirected to nearby alternate parking locations. RV/Coach parking is available as well.
